Primary Schools

We love to share our passion for sustainability with kids at schools in our Member Council area*! We get really excited about worms, recycling and waste free living. We encourage kids to connect with the journey of their waste and to take responsibility for it. We offer a variety of free school visits and programs tailored for your school. We provide support for Waste Wise Schools, so if you need a hand with your worm farm or your waste free lunches, give us a call. If you want to stay in touch with everything local, green and for your school, subscribe to our e-newsletter

REDUCE, Reuse, Recycle Session

If you're in our Member Council area*, we can visit your primary school to facilitate our REDUCE, Reuse, Recycle Sessions with our displays and activities. The kids experience fun, hands on learning with a message. See our Fact Sheet describing our activities.

Kids can run the Battery Relay or test their knowledge on the Dice and Counters game. These are just some of the games that we can share with your students.

Teachers have commented that the session 'focused on the concepts that we were teaching and there were a lot of motivating and engaging activites. Also very friendly staff'.

To make the most of our visit we like to see a minimum of three class groups. The sessions run for around 40 minutes each and is ideally set up in an undercover assembly area or similar. Parents and other helpers are invited to help us on the day. Simply email or call us on 9384 4003 to book a session!

Organic Composting

We can help you set up worm farms (big and small), no dig veggie beds and compost bays at your school.
