From Cottesloe to San Francisco: Varied solutions to plastic pollution

Join Churchill Fellow Rebecca Prince-Ruiz to hear about her inspiring journey through Hawaii, USA, UK, the Netherlands and Hong-Kong investigating innovative solutions to plastic pollution. Rebecca saw first-hand the devastation plastic can cause in our natural environment and met scientists, activists, policy-makers and educators who are all passionately working to address this issue.

Rebecca is the acting Sustainability Manager at the Western Metropolitan Regional Council, the current WA Waste Champion (Waste Authority of WA Infinity Awards) and Plastic Free July Co-founder. She is passionate about how we can all be part of the solution to the plastic pollution problem. Rebecca will share her experience and insights with us on the first day of Plastic Free July at the Grove Community Centre.
